Serving as Students Expressing Environmental Dedication (SEED) Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (3R) Committee Chair has been a fantastic experience thus far. Some projects I've worked on:

  • Bye Bye Bags: an event in Red Square in collaboration with Environment Washington, collecting signatures and letters tocongresspeople urging them to support and uphold Seattle's plastic bag ban

  • Bottle cap recycling: piloted in West Campus residence halls, putting small buckets in lobbies to collect bottle caps. Caps will go to the Burke Museum as part of its Plastics Unwrapped exhibit, and afterwards will be recycled through the University Village Aveda store.

  • One Thing Challenge: a competition against WSU, with students pledging to change one thing in their life to help the environment. We won this year!
